During the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 Film & Television apps on the iOS platform in the Middle East showcased varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.9M in the final week of April. Weekly downloads saw a significant drop from 151K at the start of April to around 33K by the end of June. Active users declined steadily from 526K to 290K throughout the quarter.

Netflix maintained a consistent performance, with weekly revenue reaching its highest at about $99K in the last week of April and June. Downloads increased from 35K at the beginning of April to 53K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 710K to 790K over the quarter.

Disney+ saw a notable increase in revenue, peaking at approximately $447K in the first week of June. Downloads rose from 21K in early April to nearly 39K by the end of June. Active users showed a steady growth from 300K to 345K during the quarter.

OSN+ displayed significant growth in both revenue and active users. Weekly revenue surged to around $307K in mid-June, while downloads increased from 14K to 64K in the same period. Active users also saw a rise from 115K to 207K by mid-June.

Yango Play had a mixed performance, with revenue peaking at about $40K in early June. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 54K in early April and ending at 17K by late June. Active users showed a downward trend from 276K to 162K over the quarter.
